There are many BI, Analytics, reporting and integration tools on the market today. So why have our customers chosen us to provide their information needs as opposed to the multi-billion dollar industry giants? It takes more than a tool, more than a clever set of features to deliver value. We’re keenly aware of this. No matter how “cool” a feature might be, unless a customer’s end user can see how this directly benefits them in their daily job, preferably saving time and money, it will mean very little to anyone. Like vertically opening car doors (it looks really, really cool in James Bond movies): if the benefit does not outweigh the cost, it will remain a fad and not many will buy. We understand this, we live this.

Most of our product development is in direct response to our customers’ enhancement requests.

We don’t try guess in laboratories what our customers want. We regularly poll them, getting suggestions for improvement, continually evaluating enhancement requests to make features / functionality available in such a way that it becomes easy for end users to use.

We work with our customers, really!

We will never know our customer’s business data like our customers do, so therefore we find it imperative that we partner with our customers to deliver successful outcomes. Knowledge of data models, knowledge of business processes, our skill in database technologies, the versatility of our toolset, ability to develop a flexible solution in record time, these are the factors that have led to our past successes. We measure success by the customers’ satisfaction and willingness to expand the product far more than by financial measures.

We understand the value of time (time = money)

By embedding our solution into existing applications, saving time and enabling easy integration, we can save many hours per month looking up information.

By having a toolset that allows rapid development with the option of allowing native queries against datasources (analytic SQL, RDBMS-specific SQL that allows hints, optimizer overrides, etc.) the data being reported is retrieved most efficiently. Time = money, so if we can get a deliverable out in an hour instead of 2 days using a competitive product, this represents value to the client organization.

Targeted functionality: End users want to be consumers, not authors

While Power User functionality is a part of the solution, our focus is on the end users, who usually don’t have the time to learn SQL, data models and BI Tool operation, but they DO know what information they want and want the ability to chart this with a few clicks / drags, want to be able to pivot, filter, sort, annotate, drilldown to details and save / email results. Most end users can be trained in an hour or two to perform more than 90% of the analytic functionality, thus delivering value, yet again.
