Scheduler and Data-driven Batch Reporting

SeeMoreData has the ability to run data-driven batch reporting.

What that means is that a scheduled job will run on a given time frequency (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or once-off) to pick up records that may fall into a certain category (example: customers that have overspent their credit limits).

The Batch process can then automatically create a letter based on a PDF template that is loaded into the SeeMoreData repository that will pick up the customer’s details, account number, current credit limit and other pertinent information, place this information into the template in the various placeholders and then automatically email the letter to the customer, using information (customer email address) that is found in the customer data.

Another use of this feature might be an automated performance appraisal delivery mechanism, whereby all employees that have not had a performance appraisal in the last 6 months, will automatically have their last performance appraisal summary emailed to their manager each Monday morning via the SeeMoreData Batch scheduler.

Another possible application of SeeMoreData Data-driven Batch Reporting might be:
If a company has 100,000 customers billed in arrears, of which regularly 5% pay their invoices past the due date, on the date prior to the due date, SeeMoreData could run an exception report that would extract those 5% of customers who have not yet paid and email a reminder to the A/P registered email address on file, with a document that will highlight the customer name, outstanding invoice amount, payment due date and a warning of the late payment fee about to be imposed. This may have the effect of getting over 90% of the outstanding payments in on time, helping the company’s cash flow situation, preventing the customer from being charged a late payment fee, and a huge reduction in collection personnel at month end to chase up late payers.

SeeMoreData makes the configuration of this process relatively simple.
