Architecture
SeeMoreData engine is a best-of-breed hybrid engine that comprises a
Java component and a PL/SQL component, with the environment repository
residing on Oracle 9.2 (Standard Edition) or higher.
The Java Engine runs on any of the following J2EE engines:
- Tomcat
- JBOSS
- JRUN
- Sun One
- Web Sphere
- WebLogic
- Oracle Application Server
- SAP WAS
- IIS (with virtual port forwarding configuration to real J2EE server)
The end user uses a browser and points it to the application as hosted
by the web application server.
The end user simply double-clicks a report title that is visible to
them
and SeeMoreData will render the report in the browser.
All requests for information from the database and cached data
structures are handled by the SeeMoreData engine.
SeeMoreData has a built-in caching engine, built-in network compression
behaviour to enhance LAN / WAN / Internet traffic throughput and will
connect natively to any of the following datasources:
- Oracle
- MS Sql Server
- DB2 UDB
- AS400
- TeraData
- Sybase
- Informix
- MySQL
- ODBC
- Access
- Excel
- FoxPro
Connector access can also be achieved to:
- IMS
- Adabas
- Applications like Siebel, PeopleSoft, Oracle eBusiness Suite.
