BI Plus is a Java based reporting / dashboard platform that runs in a web browser using a Java Runtime Environment. BI Plus gives developers the powerful tools they need to convert corporate data into powerful visual information.
Since BI Plus is a platform (in a similar way to a database being a platform) and not a packaged turnkey solution in and of itself, it is ideally suited for developers who have some knowledge of databases and extracting / manipulating data. To this extent, it makes the task very easy, with reusable components, version control, simple migration between environments (development to production, etc.), detailed audit logs, integration into security mechanisms (LDAP, Novell, custom security), data security with user access groups. User Assigned Profiles are available to control which types of users have what sort of functionality enabled.
There is no need to know Java, JavaScript or any programming language, however a basic understanding of SQL (Structured Query Language) is needed to get the powerful results that BI Plus is capable of.
BI Plus is capable of integration with SMS gateways so that coupled with the flexible scheduler, alerts can be sent to relevant persons’ mobile phones as text messages.
BI Plus runs behind your firewall, in your domain, so there is no need to send / upload all your corporate data to a remote server on the internet.
BI Plus also supports the non-western character based languages (Thai Script, Traditional Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, Arabic, Greek), etc.
BI Plus' strongest feature is its ability to be integrated into other environments. Using our Callable interface, developers can define integration points from any application capable of rendering a browser or Java Applet. Mapping the key columns means that from application A, you can now reference reports or dashboards that actually comprise of data from other applications or databases and have them seamlessly integrated into the calling application. This is very compelling as it can cut years off the development cycle of any application that needs integrated analytics.
